In the Accademia there are, beyond Michelangelo’s works, different sections dedicated to various arts, in addition to a rich collection of paintings of the greatest masters operating in Florence between the XIII and the XVI century, which formed the training material for the students of the near Accademia di Belle Arti.

The paintings are strictly of the Florentine school, made by the major masters working between the XIV and XVI centuries.
