The visit of this massive and elegant palace is vital if you want to understand the history of Florence, you will be enchanted while walking along the salons and rooms used by the Priors first, and by the Medici later, which moved here in 1540.

The “New Palace” (the new headquarter of the Guild’s Priors) became the Palace of the Lords in the XVI century, and took the name of “the old Palace” when the Medici moved in the new residence, the Pitti Palace.
